Celebrate Pi Day by baking American apple pie!

VIDEO: Celebrate Pi Day with American apple pie for women voters! on Vimeo.

Here at Suffrage Wagon Cooking School we’ve been making good old American apple pie for women voters. And everyone else too. But it’s not only Pi Day in March, but also Women’s History Month. Pi Day has been observed in many ways, including making, eating and throwing pies as well as discussing the significance of the number π. Apple pie is great to prepare for your action group, bake sales and special occasions for your organization. Here at Suffrage Wagon News Channel we’re celebrating Women’s History Month all during March with special features and events. Suffrage Wagon News Channel has more than 100 suffrage movement videos on its Vimeo channel. This is one from the series on Suffrage Wagon Cooking School.

This is my favorite so far. I thought I was at the end with the two pies out of the oven but then I saw there’s more.

  2. What a hoot. As a family we celebrated Pi Day. Another chance to break out the baking dishes. Don’t do this as much as I should.

I see that you used oranges in your apple pie. Mmmm. I grate the rind and add it into the apples coated with sugar and flour and mixed with butter. Rich but not too decadent.

  4. This is the video that I sent to my friend Diane. We talk all the time about how we want to cook more, but you know how it is. We never get around to it. At least at Suffrage Wagon Cooking School we can have the experience of cooking for a good reason. I like that.

  5. I’m a pi and a pie fan. The only site I follow that took the time to make a splash on pi day. Adore the woodburning stove.

My favorite Suffrage Wagon Cooking School video.

  7. The thing I like most about the cooking school is this. Even if I eat the whole pie, I won’t gain an ounce.
