The day the mountains move has come/ I speak, but no one believes me./ For a time the mountains have been asleep,/ But long ago they all danced with fire. / It doesn’t matter if you believe this, / My friend, as long as you believe:/All the sleeping women / Are now awake and moving.    Yosano Akiko (Japan, 1911).

    I would say this is as true today as it was back in 1911. More than ever, we need to be awake and paying attention about what’s happening in our world. I just discovered your blog and am having a great time visiting the different posts. It’s like a little time machine that never loses sight of the present day.
